Oaths and Writs relating to Robert Rimell of Reading, Berkshire.
By virtue of this commission we did this day administer to the within named Robert Rimell the several oaths to this writ awarded according to the tenor of the said Commission and do hereby testify the same into his Majesty Chancery as we are within commanded witness our hands this thirteenth day of December 1805.
William BillingsGeorge the third by the Grace of God of the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Ireland King Defender of the Faith. To our beloved and faithful William Billings Francis Lockey and John Blandy Gentlemen Greeting know ye that we have given you or two of you full power and authority to administer to and take the several oaths to this our Writ annexed of our Beloved and faithfull Robert Rimell of Reading in the County of Berks Gentleman lately appointed one of the Masters Extraordinary of our Court of Chancery for his well and faithfully executing that Office according to the form of a certain Schedule to this Writ annexed and therefore We Command you that the aforesaid Oaths that you or two of you receive and when you have so received them that you or two of you Certify us thereupon in our Chancery under your hands or the hands of two of you distinctly and openly without delay remitting to us this Writ with the Schedules annexed Witness Our Self at Westminster the seventh day of December in the forty sixth year of Our Reign.

I Robert Rimell do swear that I do from my Heart abhor detest and abjure as impious and heretical that damnable Doctrine and position that Prince Excommunicated or deprived by the Pope or any authority of the See of Rome may be deposed or Furthered by their subjects or any other whatsoever. And I do declare that no foreign Prince Person Prelate State or Potentate hath or ought to have any Jurisdiction Power Superiority Preheminence or Authority Ecclesiastical or Spiritual within this Realm so help me God
Robert Rimell………… that well and truly ye shall serve the King our Sovereign Lord and his people with Office of one of the Masters Extraordinary of his Chancery to the which ye be tolled Ye shall not assent to ne procure the disheritance ne perpetual damage of the King to your Power ne fraud ye shall do or cause to be made wrongfully to any of his people ne in any thing that toucheth the Seal and lawfully ye shall Council the things that toucheth the King when ye shall be thereunto required and the Council that ye shall give touching him ye shall not disclose and if ye know any thing of the disheritance or damage of the King or fraud to be made upon any thing that toucheth the keeping of the Seal ye shall put your lawful power to address and amend and if that you cannot do ye shall advise the Chancellor or Lord Keeper of the Great Seal or other which may that amend to your power as God you help and by the Contents of this Book.
